Ready to level up from static pages to interactive web apps? Hack School 1: JavaScript is where your code starts to come alive. We’ll kick things off with a quick refresher on HTML/CSS, then dive into the basics of JavaScript, the language behind nearly every modern website. We'll have interactive demos, a look at real-world use cases, and practical coding patterns like arrow functions, callbacks, and how the DOM lets you manipulate the web in real time. You’ll also get a beginner-friendly intro to npm, the package manager that powers everything from simple animations to full-blown frameworks. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a simple but dynamic web application that we will be building off of for the rest of Hack School!
